  • WELCOME ~ 2018 SYNOD OF SOUTH ATLANTIC STATED MEETING: APRIL 19–20, 2018

    WELCOME TO THE SYNOD’S 32ND STATED MEETING TO BE HELD AT THE: SEVEN OAKS PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, COLUMBIA, SOUTH CAROLINA, APRIL 19–20, 2018, NOON TO NOON.

    COMPLETE THIS FORM FOR YOUR REGISTRATION ON OR BEFORE APRIL 3, 2018. For a cancellation within 72 hours of the arrival date, there is no charge. If there is a cancellation after that, there is a full night’s charge.   • The Synod Stated Meeting will be held at THE WINGATE COLUMBIA/LEXINGTON, 108 Saluda Pointe Court, Lexington, South Carolina 29072. The website: www.wyndhamhotels.com. PLEASE CHECK ALL THAT APPLY.
  • You will be staying at THE WINGATE COLUMBIA/LEXINGTON, LEXINGTON, SOUTH CAROLINA; Our contact is PEGGY KELLERHALS, 803.957.5000. THE SYNOD ADMINISTRATOR WILL MAKE ALL HOTEL ARRANGEMENTS PER THE SYNOD CONTRACT. The Synod will pay for each person’s room with a designated roommate (not a spouse or guest). For those with a single room, the half-rate of $56.00 per night applies to each person (unless staff or EAC) and will be deducted from your travel reimbursement form, unless a medical condition or circumstance is noted. Please indicate a roommate preference; If you have none, the Synod will make arrangements for you. PLEASE NOTE: If you have an emergency and need to cancel your room, please call WINGATE directly, 803.957.5000, then immediately notify Lisa on her Synod cell, 904.515.9070. IF YOU ARE BRINGING A GUEST, A SINGLE ROOM RATE WILL APPLY. PLEASE CHECK ALL THAT APPLY.
  • The Synod will make arrangements for a roommate if you have no preference. Guest charges will be the cost of a single room $112.00 and approximately $50.00 for meals. TO BRING A GUEST, YOU MUST PAY THE INVOICE BY 4/12/18 (By check or money order; we are unable to process credit cards).
  • Participants are asked to drive if they are within 300 miles, one-way of the meeting location. Airline reservations of $325 or less may be booked at any time. If over $325, please contact Lisa Lovelady to schedule a flight. Reservations should be made now to ensure best airfare. Flight arrivals to the Columbia Metropolitan Airport (CAE) must be no later than 10:30 am on Thursday. If you cannot come on Thursday by 10:30 am, please consider coming on Wednesday. Flight departures from Columbia Metropolitan Airport must be no earlier than 3:00 pm on Friday. Ground Transportation will be arranged by shared car rental — more detailed information to follow, as needed. CAR RENTAL MUST BE APPROVED BY THE SYNOD OFFICE. Please be sure to list your flight information on this form.

  • We have the following Group Meals planned: Wednesday Dinner for the EAC and early arrivals at a local restaurant; Thursday lunch at Seven Oaks Presbyterian Church (SOPC); Thursday Dinner at the SOPC, and a Friday Boxed Lunch. Meal times will be confirmed as we get closer to the date. (Thursday and Friday breakfast at the Wingate Hotel (for those lodging there). THURSDAY LUNCH AND DINNER AND FRIDAY LUNCH WILL REQUIRE A MEAL TICKET. Commissioners will have a meal ticket for each meal in their name tag.

  • FOR THE 2018 MEETING, WE WANT TO ELIMINATE THE COSTS OF HANDBOOKS. WE WOULD LIKE PARTICIPANTS TO BRINGS THEIR OWN LAPTOPS/TABLETS TO ACCESS DOCUMENTS DURING DISCUSSION (OR YOU MAY BRING YOUR OWN COPY).
