STATED MEETING 2016

The Stated Meeting of the Synod of South Atlantic will be from Thursday-Friday, September 15-16, 2016, 12noon to 12noon, at Epworth-By-The-Sea, St. Simons Island, Georgia.

All Commissioners, Corresponding Members and invited guests can register in summer, 2016.

FOR A CANCELLATION WITHIN 72 HOURS OF ARRIVAL, THERE IS A FULL NIGHT'S CHARGE.   • You will be staying at THE ROBERTSON INN or THE TURNER LODGE at EPWORTH BY THE SEA, 100 ARTHUR J. MOORE DRIVE, ST. SIMONS ISLAND, GEORGIA 31522; www.epworthbythesea.org; Contact is Tiffany Benson, 912.638.8688. The half-rate of $47.50 per night will be deducted from your travel reimbursement form for single room* requests, unless a medical condition or circumstance is noted. If you have no roommate preference, the Synod will make arrangements for you. PLEASE NOTE: If you have an emergency and need to cancel your room, please call Epworth directly, 912.638.8688, then immediately notify Lisa on her cell, 540.470.0870. PLEASE CHECK ALL THAT APPLY.
  • The Synod will make arrangements for a roommate if you have no preference.
  • Participants are asked to drive if they are within 300 miles, one-way of the meeting location. Airline reservations of $300 or less may be booked at any time. If over $300, please contact Lisa Lovelady to schedule a flight. Reservations should be made now to ensure best airfare. Flight arrivals to the Jacksonville International Airport must be no later than 9:45 am on Thursday. If you cannot come on Thursday by 9:45 am, please consider coming on Wednesday. Flight departures from Jacksonville International must be no earlier than 4:00 pm on Friday. Ground Transportation will be arranged by shared car rental - more detailed information to follow. Please be sure to list your flight information on this form.

  • We have the following Group Meals planned: Wednesday Dinner Buffet at 6:00 pm; Thursday Breakfast and Lunch Buffet at Epworth; Thursday Dinner at a local restaurant, and Friday Boxed Lunch. Meal times will be confirmed as we get closer to the date. PLEASE NOTE: AS A COMMISSIONER, ALL MEALS ARE INCLUDED IN YOUR STAY AT EPWORTH.
